"Creating a shortcut using "Shift" + "F1-F12" will require the use of "Alt" or "Ctrl". Therefore a shortcut would need to be "Ctrl-Shift-F1" or "Alt-Shift-F1""
Why?

This entry in the patch notes is incorrect. It will be corrected.
Thankyou.

Community, Content, QA and Software are working through a list of clarifications which we hope to update to both the Patch Notes list, the OP in this discussion thread and in the Player News Centre as soon as they are collectively available.
Much appreciated, give 'em a all big thanks from the community. |

Taken together the stuff in green has a lot more impact (for me at least) than the stuff in white. This is great work on the part of the guys editing the notes but terrible work from the people who released them to start with.
I imagine there are a lot of players out there who only read the notes once, when they are first announced, they certainly didn't get a good overview of the changes this patch.

If I may respectfully disagree, then I think that those that wrote the release notes did excellent work. But when reviewing more than 1.000 tasks, defects and other changes, categorising them and translating them from tech speak into entries suitable for the release notes, then there is always room for some errors.
Your quite right, it is a huge undertaking. But, and this doesn't effect me personally because I read the forums regularly, had the patch notes simply not been published at all until they were as complete as they are now it would save a lot of confusion that will be felt by those who don't keep up with such things.
Some people will have assumed, for example, that the changes to CONCORD hadn't made it into this patch after reading the original notes. They'll be in for a rude awakening when they try suicide ganking someone after the patch goes live.
And yes, I'm always happy to see much needed changes made, I'm particularly glad that the speed nerf was delayed until it can be implemented without the many unfortunate side-effects. Though I'm sure many of us would like some confirmation that the changes are still being worked on.

Originally by: Bit Steen Hmm, ok, i do like that concord get stronger and Empire gangking is not that easy anymore - but on the other hand - how can we kill now the Macro Miner in Empire?
I'd think it would be more efficient to report them so that CCP can then track the money to buyers and punish them. If EVE gets a reputation as the kind of place where buying ISK will almost certainly lead to a negative wallet or ban the sellers soon won't have much of a market. Killing them certainly won't make them go away, they have plenty of ISK to replace their losses.

Did they ever say they would? Because that would be excellent news. The ship is ugly enough without texture anomalies. |

It is a shame to see yet another nerf to drones even if it is a relatively small one and likely necessary one. They are however rapidly becoming something of joke outside of nano-ishtar's and Dominix's even on ships that use them as a major part of their DPS such as the Geddon and Mega.
Wasn't bandwidth supposed to allow us to carry more drones on our ships without messing with damage output? Why then are slow highly vulnerable drones on ships like the Mega not only much weaker after being skipped in the HP buff and affected by the shield regen nerf but also irreplaceable when lost.
Couldn't a little more drone bay space or drone survivability be added to such ships to allow them to operate a little longer in combat before their efficiency is drastically reduced? |

Nice one. I'm sure those who don't read or post here will appreciate it. |

Originally by: Patch Notes You can now Assign a shortcut to the F-keys with any combination of Ctrl, Alt, Shift, or none of those modifiers. As an example: F9, Ctrl+F9, Alt+F9, Shift+F9, Ctrl+Alt+F9, Ctrl+Shift+F9, Alt+Shift+F9, Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F9 are all possible. You can also assign a shortcut to alphanumeric keys with appropriate restrictions. They must include one of Ctrl, Alt and Shift, and if Shift is used then Ctrl or Alt must be used as well as an example As an example: Ctrl+B, Alt+B, Ctrl+Alt+B, Ctrl+Shift+B, Alt+Shift+B, Ctrl+Alt+Shift+B are all possible but B and Shift+B are not.
